The first meeting will be with the kitchen group at 1:00 pm. Separate meetings will be held with other groups. Any member working in any group is welcome to attend the meeting for that group. This coming Saturday is the Coptic New Year and it will be a blessing to start the year with a liturgy with His Grace Bishop Basilious who will be joining us. The liturgy will be from 9-11am. We hope to see everyone there. Our next weekly Bible study will held at the church from 6:45 to 7:45pm this Friday, September 10th. The festival is held on the church grounds at 1531 King Richard Parkway, Miamisburg, Ohio. The Egyptian Festival guests will enjoy traditional ethnic specialties such as grape leaves; the great shish kabob which is available in traditional, lamb or chicken; exquisite Egyptian pastries; spinach pies; honey balls; and the Egyptian coffee which is a must. The festival features music and the Holy Family visit to Egypt movie. Tours of the beautiful Church include a short presentation on the Coptic Orthodox faith. Shoppers in the booth will browse through a variety of goods, hand crafted items, clothing, religious items, gold and silver jewelry and the popular Egyptian Papyrus. Outdoors of the Church is the area of the festival grounds set aside for families. Kids will enjoy special activities in the “Carnival Zone.” For those who want to stay cool, try the delicious roast lamb and shish (kabob) dinners which are served inside the air-conditioned main church hall. The dinners feature lamb shanks slow-roasted in a flavorful sauce, Egyptian - style vegetables or shish kabob, served with rice pilaf, salad and pita bread.
